The Right Restaurant

Dear Sawyer,

One of the cutest things about you is how you mispronounce words and it's always bittersweet when you learn to say those words correctly. We were having lunch at a bagel shop yesterday when you asked me, "Why are we in a restaurant?" Then you gasped and said, "I know how to say 'restaurant'! I can say it now!" Up until yesterday, you had always pronounced it "resta-not." You were so happy and proud of yourself for finally saying the word the right way . . . and I was a little sad since it meant you had grown up that much more. You still say "waterlemons," though, so at least I still have that!
