Walking to School

Dear Sawyer,

Daddy had to go on a business trip yesterday, which meant that I had to take you and JieJie to school today. I don't drive and your school is 1.7 miles away from our house. It was 40 degrees this morning and we could have taken an Uber but I asked you and your sister to try walking to school and the two of you did an awesome job! You mentioned that your legs were already tired when we were just a few blocks away from our house but you were able to keep up with me (and I walk really fast) and we made it to school 13 minutes before the doors opened, so you even had time to play on the playground for a little bit. I was worried that you might be too cold during the long walk (it took us exactly 37 minutes) but you said you didn't feel cold at all. Thank you for being such a good sport!

Love,
Mom

One Handsome Head

Dear Sawyer,

Cute things you have said recently:

You: Mama, do I look cuter with my hood on or off?
Me: I think you look cuter with it off.
You: Me, too, because you see more of my handsome head!

You: Mama, can you come help me with my math homework? It's just one question and then you can go do whatever you want.

Words you still adorably say wrong: tooken (instead of took), buy-ded (instead of bought)

Love,
Mom

Hairy Situation

Dear Sawyer,

After your shower, I cleaned your ears and there was the tiniest little hair on the end of the Q-tip. I told you, "There was a hair in your ear." You replied, "There was a bunny in my ear? Haha! Get it? Hair? Hare?" Sawyer's got jokes!

Love,
Mom
