Cute Compliment

Dear Sawyer,

We had a play date today and at one point, you stopped playing with the other kids and shouted to my friend, "Do you know what my favorite living thing is? Mama!" And then you ran back to the kids and resumed your activities. Awww! Thanks, baby bear!

Waterlemon Whoops

Dear Sawyer,

One of the cutest things you do is pronounce watermelon "waterlemon." You have been saying waterlemon for as long as I can remember and the rest of our family has taken to saying it, too. In fact, the word has been ingrained in me so much that when I went to a bubble tea shop yesterday and ordered a drink for you, I actually said to the employee, "Can I have a waterlemon tea? I mean, waterlemon. No, uh, watermelon!" Haha!

A Better Bedtime

Dear Sawyer,

You asked me to cuddle with you at bedtime tonight so I crawled into your bed. Once I laid down next to you, you smiled and said, "You make everything better." Awww, I'm glad, baby bear!

Pretty Woman

Dear Sawyer,

This morning, you said to me, "Mama, you're prettier than all the pretty things put together." Oh my goodness, thank you!

Switch It Up

Dear Sawyer,

You always call the toy lawn mower the "mow lawner." I love it!

Mind the Gap

Dear Sawyer,

You just lost your first tooth and you already lost your second one tonight! You look so adorable with your new gap-toothed smile!

Fallout

Dear Sawyer,

You were looking at a photo of my friends and me and said, "I always look for you in your pictures and you're always the prettiest one." I mean, come on! You are the sweetest!

In other news, Daddy and I went out to dinner for our anniversary tonight and I bought a box of mochi doughnuts to surprise you with but when I came home, you said you had a surprise for me and showed me something in your hand--your loose tooth! You said you had been wiggling it with your finger after dinner and--pop!--out it came!

Love,
Mom
